Our History

AllKiosk began with a techie love story between two Purdue University engineering students. Romance blossomed in 1985 when math whiz Jennifer Horodysky met electronics enthusiast George Graves in Electric and Magnetic Fields class.

The couple married in 1986, and began illustrious careers in the aerospace industry. But Jennifer and George always knew that one day they would own their own engineering firm. In 1995, the Graves' entrepreneurial dream came true when they opened GECO, Inc. in Mesa, Arizona. "GECO" stands for Graves Engineering Company and is a play on the use of acronyms in the engineering profession.

Over the years, GECO has developed a strong presence in the world of embedded computing, specializing in rigorous aerospace applications. AllKiosk was formed in 2005 to leverage GECO's embedded computing expertise in the growing kiosk industry-with a business model of creating kiosks using the same level of precision needed to keep planes in the air.

Jennifer and George understand the 80/20 rule: 20% of the people do 80% of the work. So the have focused on hiring only that top 20% of engineering talent. This makes the GECO workplace both productive and fun, since the standard for excellence and challenge is high.

The GECO/AllKiosk team is like one big family, with every employee playing a significant role in upholding the company's exacting quality standards. Many of the engineers have been with the firm since the early days, working alongside Jennifer and George to grow the business. Family ties are also literal: several employees work with their spouses or children or both!
